Ο Μπίλη ήταν αδέσποτος και είχε βρει αγάπη στην οικογένεια Αντωνάτου, εντούτοις χθες έφυγε από κοντά τους.

Ο οδηγός, μετά το χτύπημά, ανέβασε ταχύτητα και εξαφανίστηκε...

Ο Μπίλη, δεν είναι το μοναδικό θύμα των ασυνειδήτων οδηγών, ούτε δυστυχώς θα είναι και το τελευταίο... εντούτοις πρέπει πλέον να ευαισθητοποιηθούμε και γι’ αυτές τις ψυχές που βρίσκονται πολλές φορές απροστάτευτες στο δρόμο...

This is one of the dogs that Rachael Antonatos from Lassi has been looking after since he was rescued from a life on a chain. Rachael is well known in Kefalonia for her generosity and warm heart towards the animals, both cats and dogs. She loves them dearly and they love her.

Sadly, Billy, pictured was killed by a hit and run driver yesterday, whilst the family (with Billy walking and Sofia in a push chair) were crossing the road near Mina's supermarket in Lassi. A speeding driver in what was described as a silver Ford Focus hit Billy with such force, he broke nearly every bone in his body and threw him several feet into the air. Billy died at the vets . He didn't stand a chance against such force. The frightening thing is, it could have been Rachael or Sofia in her pram.

I ask anyone with any information about this car or person driving it to contact the Police or me on this site here. It would be courageous of the driver to hand himself into police and admit he left the scene, without even checking who or what he had hit. His index number was taken and witnesses were many. It is a small Island and anger is growing regarding the 'race track' that is the Lassi road.
