The Municipality of Argostoli has installed a SeaTrac system at Platis Gialos Beach

At Platis Gialos Beach in Argostoli—one of the most popular and busy beaches in Kefalonia—the installation of the SeaTrac autonomous sea access system for persons with disabilities has been completed.
This system, funded entirely by the Municipality of Argostoli, marks a significant step toward promoting accessibility and equal access to the sea for all. SeaTrac is a modern system that enables individuals with mobility difficulties to enjoy safe and comfortable swimming, offering autonomous access from the shore to the sea via specialized rails and a seat.
Platis Gialos Beach, already equipped with the necessary infrastructure for a pleasant visit, is now even more inclusive, making it an ideal destination for all ages and needs.
This initiative by the Municipality of Argostoli reflects a strong commitment to creating an environment without exclusions—offering equal opportunities for enjoying the sea and enhancing the quality of life for both residents and visitors to the area.
