A bad habit of some pool owners in Kefalonia
Unfortunately,some swimming pool owners in Kefalonia do not consider the damage that is caused to the environment and the local tourist industry,by their bad habit of spilling pool water in the streets.
The amounts of running water on roads are sometimes very large making them slippery and therefore dangerous for passers-by.As a result, the image of all that flow is not what someone expects during holidays.
Last incident of that inappropriate behaviour was recorded in one of Livathos villages,three days ago, when the pool owner had the tube running for more than two hours.
We feel the need to remind these people the current legislation and in particular Law 2696/1999,paragraph C, mentioning that substances or materials like water,oil,lime etc,which could make streets slippery,are forbidden.
